I had a great experience with Tammy and felt she had great scissor skills and techniques which I appreciated. She had a very pleasant personality and interacted with me throughout.
I was underwhelmed however with my 15 minute wait and that nobody offered me something to drink or provided the type of welcome I associate with the Aveda experience. I was most disappointed with my hairwash which is generally the highlight of any Aveda visit. It felt rushed and not at all relaxing. The person shampooing my hair wasn't tuned into me as a person and was quickly and mindlessly getting the job done. I realize I came at the end of the day and people were probably tired and ready to go home. But for me I also had worked all day and was looking forward to a little pampering. I was a customer in their previous building and always felt like a princess. I will go back because I liked my haircut and will anticipate improvement on my return. I reluctantly said something as I was leaving to Alan and he was very receptive and seemed eager to have the problem corrected.
