My husband and I are based out of Phoenix, but keep a boat in the Kona Kai Marina, where we stay for weeks at a time. We have a groomer at a local veterinary office in Phoenix, but knew that we needed to find a local vet and groomer for our extended stays in San Diego. So we were excited to find your office and especially happy to see that you had a groomer. From our experience, groomers in a veterinarian office hold to a higher standard of service and compassion than many of those working in retail.
Sadly, our experience with the groomer at Bayside wasn't comparable to that of our groomer(s) in Phoenix. I specifically requested that our little guy, Baxter, not be shaved or cut too close. Apparently, the groomer did try to call me, but didn't leave a voice mail message. She should not have proceeded without our consent. He has a couple small abrasions and we've had to put a sweater on him to keep him warm.
The front office staff was friendly and professional, and they did a good job with our other little dog. However, since you do send surveys out requesting feedback on your service, I'm submitting this as our experience as first time customers and hoping that you address the issue with your groomer so it doesn't happen again to future customers.
