The office staff are very courteous and prompt. The Nursing staff are also courteous and compassionate. Dr. Culpepper is a wonderful doctor but more than that, he is a wonderful person. Caring, compassionate, respectful, giving, attentive. He talks with you, not at you. He truly cares about his patients.I have been a patient of Dr. Culpepper since 1990.

Overall experience with Dr Stone was good. No issues. Annual physical. Checked all vital and did a rectal exam. Took his time during the rectal exam as oppose to previous visits I have had at this office with other doctors not so "gentle" during the rectal exam portion.

Visit with nurse while drawing blood could have been better. First he stuck me on my right arm and claimed the tubes were bad and not allowing blood to flow in. I think he just missed the vein. He proceeded to throw away the remaining vials that were in the cabinet and went to get more vials. He then poked me on my left arm. Was struggling to get enough blood for the last vial. Drew little into that tube then claimed he had enough. I left for the day thinking I was done with my exam and I would get results the following day. Instead I received a call later that day stating they had misplaced one of the 3 vials of blood and that I needed to return to draw more blood.

When I returned that later afternoon (closer to 6pm), the nurse that attended was great. Apologized for what had happened. She knew she needed to draw more blood but was not sure which vial to use as she was not sure what tests the doctor was going to order. (didn't find anything in the notes??) She suggested I come back tomorrow because she had to confer with Dr. Jerod Stone to see what tests he needed. I told her that I was not coming back tomorrow and offered to give her 3 more vials of blood as I did not have time to come back the following day. She said that would work. As she was drawing blood, the nurse that attended me in the morning walked in and apologized for what had happened. He stated that he must have dropped a vial in the hazardous trash container so he needed another. He was not sure which one he needed so drawing the 3 vials again was a good thing.

Overall , this blood drawing experience could have gone better. Maybe try a different nurse if allowed.
