In 1958 Bob Wark came to work at this location at the age of 18. Within 4 years he became the day shift manager and remained so for the next 3 years. In 1965 Bob left to open his own business in Swarthmore, Pa. After just 3 short years, business was rapidly growing and his location was too small. An opportunity arose to purchase the business here in Merion, Pa from his former employer in 1967.
Over the years, as business grew so did the shop. Bob purchased the property with 3 bays and had to expand to 4 bays to accommodate the growing business. Finally in 1986 the building had a major addition, expanding to 8 bays and a second floor to accommodate a waiting room and office space.
Bob has kept his original customers and now repairs several generations of customers. This is the end result of always doing quality work at a fair price and standing behind every job with a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty. Every technician has a minimum of 10 years experience, has top quality tools that are kept up to date, and multiple certifications. Auto repair at Bob Wark's is a passion, just like our customer service.
Following tradition, his son, Rich and daughter, Sandi, are part owners and continue to provide the honest quality service made Bob Wark a staple of the community for over 54 years. His reputation of being the best of the best was achieved through not only hard work, but integrity and dedication not only to the business, but to his many valued customers and surrounding community.
