Broadway Vision Source was established in 1983 and was originally located on Broadway East across from Dick's Drive-In in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. We've kept the name "Broadway" because of this. Foreseeing demolition of the building that we were in to make way for what is now the LinkRail Station on Broadway, we relocated to our present location on East Pike St. in 1999.
BVS has grown to become one the largest optometric practices in Seattle founded upon our dedication to providing excellence in comprehensive, personalized vision care. We are humbled by the loyalty of our patients, and share mutual respect of our colleagues in and around the Seattle area. The BVS team has grown in number and tenure over the years, with a diverse mix of individuals from Europe to Asia, all sharing a common value: caring.
To that end, our entire team embraces the spirit of caring by giving back to our community through volunteerism at local charities such as the Millionair Club Charity Vision Clinic, the YWCA's Eye Care for the Homeless program, and ongoing support of the global optometric philanthropy, Optometry Giving Sight.

It's time Dr Matsunami retires. After 26 years as my Dr.,there has been a big change in his performance. I'm not sure if it's his head or heart just isn't in it anymore. The last lens were off and the recheck exam was totally insufficient in determining the problem. So I went to Dr Rosales in Phinney Ridge and after a through re exam, he was able to find the mistakes in the perscription. The new lens are crisp, clear and the progressive transitions gone. I offered to share the new prescription details with Mike, so he might learn from his mistakes and he said no I don't want to see them. Why wouldn't he want to know about his mistakes? The good news is he gave a full refund. Time to retire Mike.

Joe was efficient - yet not rushed for my "pre-exam" and I always go for Opto-map rather than dilation
Dr. Yu is amazing - makes the eye exam light and fun - and gives lots of options.

Very efficient eye exam process; the test results were communicated clearly. I was very pleased that they were able to order new lenses to fit my existing eyeglass frames for both distance and reading. Overall, a pleasant experience with friendly physician and office staff.
