Sheldon has been going to daycare at this place for a few months. He is pretty sweet and socialized since two months old, now 16 months old. I just got a shelter puppy, Bentley this past weekend, 18 months old. He is a little shy but learning to play and not be afraid and bark at other puppies. He is louder but a sweet loving puppy. He went to daycare at this place several times this week without incidence until this morning. He was suspended today. Instead of taking him for a walk or calming him down he was barking at other puppies and getting them riled up...therefore removed, suspended!
I deal with this with children, the schools and teachers KNOW a child is traumatized but they suspend them for behaviors that do not conform to typical children before they guide them as they are trained to do. Same thing here, these are supposedly trained professionals that have to deal with all kinds of dogs and issues and should KNOW how to deal with a puppy who has been traumatized his entire life and work with him instead of just suspending them.
The first issue I had was with the groomer several months back who I would not let them touch my sweet baby after their attitude about "dogs" and we worked it out and I have a groomer who comes to the house and strict instructions she is to stay away from Sheldon! So we stayed, I regret that now. I expected trained professionals who would work with my newest family member! Guess not, I am disappointed, angry, and hurt that solutions were not approached before the suspension.
