Christian Brothers Automotive - Georgetown replied:

Craig and Christine,

I am so sorry about the confusion on your vehicle, and I wanted to let you know that if you ever have issues we encourage you to call us so we can resolve things. I did some research this morning and wanted to try and clear up at least a few of your concerns. First being the transmission fluid. I double checked our shop's information on your Avenger and verified that it stated the fluid is due to be flushed every 60,000 miles. To make sure we didn't have bad information I also called Chrysler to verify, and they confirmed our information here. If you ever have information that contradicts what we are telling you, or what Chrysler is telling us, please let us know so that we can get to the bottom of it. Second, is the price of the oil change. We realized a little over a year ago that our oil change price had not been increasing with the increased cost of oil. So we have incrementally increased our price over the past year and a half. Going from $29.95 to $34.95 to $39.95. We began offering the $10 discount to help offset the increase for our loyal customers. Last I wanted to address the oil pan leak, which represents the largest portion of our $730 estimate. If you look at your receipt you will see the number "2" next to the description for replacing the gasket. This means that the leak is only a "2" on a scale from "1-10" and is very minor. I apologize that this is not more clear in the notes and I addressed my team this morning about improving this. When a leak is that small our intention is to inform the customer so they can keep an eye on it and plan for possible future repairs, not to try to persuade them to fix it. If you felt that was not the way it was handled, please call me directly and I will address it. Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve.
