I loved the salon, more so once the original owners were gone. I just couldn't afford the money any longer. It was $29.00 and then in 2 yrs it was up to $59.99. I realize that in some places that is the price of a haircut, but I did not utilize the package as often as I had hoped.

Incredible - As always <3 All the stylists and staff are so friendly warm and welcoming, it's like a girl's day! Loved the bags and jewelry Jacqueline was selling too! The owner, Ashley, and receptionist Phoebe are so sweet and accommodating too.

have to say I'm becoming increasingly disappointed w/ CB. Arrived on time for color/blow. Stylist was 25 minutes late taking me and I had another appointment immediately after Colorbar. Asked that brows be tinted along w/ hair. Hair came out fine...color left on brows too long (I had to ask stylist to remove after 10 mins or so) and dyed surrounding skin excessively. By the time I got to Angelica (2nd stylist) for blowout I was now running extremely late for 2nd appt. Angelica literally had 15 mins to blow out my long, thick hair, which usually takes closer to 45 (and I'd like to add she did an outstanding job!) She also attempted to remove more of the dye surrounding my eyebrows. Left there and now so late had to cancel 2nd appt. Got home and there was so much dye left at temples, on brow line, even neck that I had to remove my make up to scrub off. This is supposed to be a higher end salon...do not understand why I leave there w/ so much residual dye left on? One time I had to leave w/ wet hair following color...put my white baseball cap on and was ruined by the amount of dye that transferred (and was souvenir cap from travels, cannot replace). I am always punctual for my appts...I understand that sometimes stylists can run behind...in this case my stylist had hit traffic and was, of her own admission, over 20 mins late for work. Told girl at desk I would've appreciated call so I could've rearranged rest of my schedule accordingly and she replied that stylist was not running late when she started. That's is in complete contrast to what stylist told me. Too much turnover, and seems to not always be enough time/staff to perform services correctly (hair dye not being removed, etc) and staff always seems rushed, frazzled, annoyed. Like the membership program but I have to make the time to be there and would like to feel relaxed when I am. Is the focus more on making money than providing service?

I have been a client of Color Bar for over 3 years and I have to say, that the front desk staff is somewhat overworked, therefore leading them to be incompetent. I was there for my appointment in early december and changed an appointment for late in december, however, I received a phone call confirming that appointment. I then received a phone call that Natasha had fallen and was not able to come in on Jan. 3, and that they re-accommodated me for Sunday the 4th, without even checking to see if I were available.

You need to have consistency at the front desk, be greeted with a smile and have the girls STAY OFF THEIR CELL PHONES!

Antoinette is 5 star and hoping I can stay with her after only my second time with her.

The staff is great also.

One star removed because I do not care that if I do not specifically remember to ask for all services that I consider basic for my contract (color, cut, blow-dry); sometimes trim/cut or dry cannot be done. This is no fault on the hair stylist(s). They aren't given enough time with the amount of customers.

While I like the staff in Brick equally, the Spring Lake salon feels more like a salon.

I really am happy I was able to book again with Antoinette.
