The staff was welcoming and inviting. They were extremely kind. However, towards the end they seemed very rushed. They had back to back appointments and they rushed through the last of our services to make it in time for the beginning of their next appointment.

This was one of the worst hair appointments I've had. I chose an Aveda salon because I am an avid Aveda user and had an expectation of quality and experience. When I scheduled the appt I inquired about the stylists experience and was told that she was "newer" to the salon but had years of experience.

Upon arriving, my stylist spoke very broken English and could not understand what I was asking for. Thankfully, I brought pictures...or so I thought. After attempting to discuss cut and color she proceeded to ask another stylist for help. They discussed what to do and how to do it. Not very comforting. As I sat, without any explanation of technique or time, with foil in my hair I got very, very nervous. The communication was awful, the experience very questionable, the oversight non existant. I felt like I was on an island and nobody even cared I was there.

Well, the color was not at all what I asked for and basically was no more than a root touch up. I was too afraid to allow her to cut my hair at this point so I ditched the cut that I wanted and told her to simply trim the ends of my hair. That, too, was ridiculous. Somehow, I now have odd layers at the ends of my hair and some uneven lengths. During the cut I inquired how long the sylist had been at the salon and where she previously worked. She stated that she'd been there for a couple of months and previously worked at Fantastic Sam's. I paid $125.00, didn't get what I asked for, have a terrible cut and probably could have done better if I'd actually have gone to Fantastic Sam's. My nerves were shot!
