It is always awesome with Gerald, who is an outstanding stylist. I am literally stopped on the street by women asking who cut my hair. Twice in six weeks the same strangers stopped me. -

My experience was horrible. This salon does not value what the client requests. My hair was cut 5 inches shorter than I wanted and uneven. I only came in for a trim. Also my daughter had to stand for the entire duration of her haircut. When i went back to get my hair fixed, the senior stylist blamed me for the bad haircut and told me I had poor communication skills.

I apologize for the unpleasant experience you had with us. Of course after you called me with your complaints I asked your stylist regarding one of your daughters appointments and the reason why she had to make her stand up the whole time for the haircut is because her hair is very long and goes over the chair, so it would be impossible for her to give your daughter an even haircut when the back of the chair is in the way the whole time. (She also said that your daughter was aware of that from the beginning) and that is why your other daughter was sitting for her appointment, because her hair is not as long.

Regarding your haircut, I understand you were not as pleased with it when you called the very next day and you asked for it to be fixed by someone else without even giving Jenna a second chance, and we managed to give you a full appointment with Corbin, who has been cutting hair for over 35 years and a lot of clients have to wait weeks to even get in his schedule. He gave you a haircut and even blew dry your hair to keep a happy customer and we, of course did not charge you.

Also, myself, I had job interviews that day, during your appointment time, which I usually conduct in the office and chose to do it in the waiting area of the building, just to see you before you left and make sure that you were happy, and you said that you were. You liked the way it looked now, much better.

Again, I apologize that you had an unpleasant experience, but to my end, I really thought that it was resolved in the best way possible and now I am very surprised by this review, knowing that yourself, told me, personally that you were happy when you left.

Fatemeh is great - love her hair cuts and color.

My continuing issue is lack of attention to online scheduling application. By the time the appointment request is confirmed - often a week later, if at all - my schedule has changed significantly.

What's needed is either a new scheduling system that allows for real time appointments by clients OR a process requiring staff to ROUTINELY (without fail) checks at least daily (ideally twice) a day to follow up on requests.

Change can be hard, but this one seems easy. I don't understand resistance when it could easily be part of the office routine IF people saw it as important.

This may not be an issue for many but Millennials are demanding real time on-line scheduling support in far more challenging businesses (e.g. MD offices).

I am willing to spend more and drive farther for my haircuts but the scheduling issues are a huge irritant.
