I would suggest you advise patients to discontinue taking blood thinner medication or prescribed aspirin prior to having procedures where bleeding might be a problem. Thanks, Jeff

Thank you, Jeff, for your review. In response, we can only advise patients to discontinue blood thinners or aspirin therapy if they inform us of their medications when we update their medical histories at each visit. Asking for these updates is standard procedure each time the patient is seen but it is incumbent upon the patient to inform the office.
