About
Dan Thorndike grew up disassembling and reassembling anything he could get his hands on. At 15, he turned his attention to cars after receiving his first car as a Christmas present.
He attended Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton Oregon, and graduated at the top of his class with an associate's degree in automotive technology. He was immediately hired by the local Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership as a technician, where his dedication and attention to detail helped him advance quickly to the top of the shop.
At present, Dan has 10 years as an ASE-certified master technician and 13 years of dealership training. (The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE, is the standard for distinguishing and rating competent mechanics.) Throughout his career, Dan has worked on all makes and models of vehicles and is confident diagnos- ing and repairing all vehicles. No matter where he has been employed, Dan has always been someone others can turn to for assistance and guidance. More importantly, his customers will tell you he's one mechanic who can be trusted to offer the right diagnosis with excellent service at a fair price.
Dan recently moved to Bellingham with his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Savannah. Their dream was to open a shop where Dan can apply his knowledge and skills maintaining and repairing vehicles. He loves one-on-one interaction with his customers, makes it a point to clearly explain needed repairs, and goes to great lengths to create a repair schedule that will fit his customers' needs and budget.

I apologize for your most recent experience. Tim just started working for me at the front desk and I am still working with him to make sure things like this don't drop through the cracks. We had got to the vehicle late in the day so had finished it shortly before your call. The inspection sheet he printed out was not the correct one. The way my system works, it is easy to select the wrong one. I do have the most recent copy for you which did note that the tires were great. I will e-mail that to you. After talking with my technicians about the washer fluid, I was informed that we were out of washer fluid. I just got my new shipment today. That is something that should be topped off every oil change and I would be happy to fill it for you if you want to swing by on a lunch break. I would also like to offer you a complimentary oil change for your troubles.
