I came out with pink dots of cleaner all over my face. I had to get up to rinse my mouth out. I'm not lazy, it just seemed very odd because I have 'never' had to do that at any other dentist office. The spinning brush my teeth were being cleaned with was getting very, very warm on my teeth (not normal).
The dentist only spent about 10 seconds actually looking at my teeth. I'm not joking. Usually dentists (especially the first visit) use their metal tools to check the gums and teeth at much more length. And he also didn't elaborate as to what this white spot on my jaw could be ---- after pointing it out on the x-ray. He also blew off a cavity that I've had another dentist tell me needed to be fixed many times - even though you can clearly see a dark spot on the x-ray. I even told him that the same side of my jaw does ache occasionally - still he says it's nothing.
I suppose maybe he is just trying to establish a relationship before giving me any bad news - but this is not how a trusting doctor / patient relationship is formed.
