Very mixed experience at this salon. I had a 5pm appointment and walked in and was told by the owner that it would be about 15 minutes before I was seen, as the stylist was still blowdrying someone's hair. He recommended walking around (there was a street festival outside), so I did, and returned in 15 minutes to sit and wait. And wait, and wait... The owner sat with other staff chatting and doing each other's nails for 45 minutes without contacting me at all. He was within sight and saw me waiting, and saw me often look over to check on the status. At 6pm, an hour after my appointment, the stylist (Tristan) finished his previous customer and rushed over to me to apologize and get me started.
Tristan was amazing... very apologetic about the late start, great customer service, wonderful to talk to, effortlessly cut my hair exactly how I asked, (and oh by the way, ridiculously great head massage during wash!) The review would have been 5 star would it have been only about him...
The hour-long wait for the appointment was annoying, but way worse was watching the owner chat with coworkers and ignore me while he specifically told me it would be around 15 minutes. Things happen, and I'm pretty easygoing, so honesty would have been ok (we got a sudden spot, so sorry, it'll be an hour)... but instead, it was a waste of my time to expect it to start on time, then 15 minutes later, and not be seen for an hour. I'd rethink that type of service if I was a business owner.
Still, Tristan was amazing, and great haircut.
