My appointment with Dr. Rahner was very disappointing to say the least, you indicate you value your patients when they come in for their appointments, it was pretty obvious I wasn't valued by Dr Rahner, telling me he couldn't dilate my eyes for further examination, his reason and I quote, "I don't have time, I have another patient, you will have to wait and make another appointment or wait till next year". I was shock and angry at his comment regarding the dilation of my eyes. I actually felt more comfortable with the care I received from Kelsey than the doctor. Never have I've been treated like that before, I understand I'm not the only patient he is seeing, but when I make an appointment for my yearly eye exam, I expect to be fully examine by the doctor, it's my time. I voiced my frustration to Crystal the office manager and I was scheduled another appointment with Dr Noven, hopefully I will be taking care of properly as I don't think I will see Dr. Rahner anytime in the near future or ever, I will also make sure my friends, neighbors, and other people I know not to come to Advance Eye Care and especially see Dr Rahner, as I suspect he could pull the same treatment to them as he did to me, very frustrating. Rest of the staff I encountered at Advance Eye Care not including Kelsey were not too friendly. Very bad experience overall. Crystal, office manager is aware of my experience. I do hope when I come in for my appointment with Dr Noven I will be taking care of properly. Maybe Dr Rahner should consider retirement, forty plus years of work as eye doctor is a long time.
We are sorry for your experience and this is not typical of the service our patients receive in our office. Dr. Rahner felt that more time was needed for further evaluation. It is not uncommon for patient to be brought back for additional/ more extensive testing. Routine appointments are the screening process for the health of your eyes and in some cases patients are brought back for more extensive examination. We always want the patient to receive the most thorough care. We apologize that this was not conveyed to you so you were comfortable with the additional testing time needed. You will be seeing the owner, Dr. Hoven, whom we are certain will give you her full attention and time.
