I can’t say enough about how caring and compassionate the Fairfax Veterinary clinic is.
Our beloved Kitty RuRu was a patient of the clinic for many years. The Fairfax Veterinary staff were routinely thoughtful, knowledgeable, and caring throughout the many medical challenges that he faced.
He was first diagnosed with thyroid complications. His doctors supplied us with the necessary medication to successfully address it.
He was later diagnosed with diabetes. The staff took their time to thoroughly identify his issues, come up with a plan, trained us on administering insulin, and advised us on appropriate nutrition. They were always available to answer any questions or address any concerns that we had.
In addition to medical care, we relied on the clinic whenever we needed extended boarding. Even though he required a fair amount of medication and insulin, we never had any reservations about leaving him in their care. Their exceptional staff were always up to date on his medical issues and sensitive to his emotional needs. We were able call and get updates on his well-being as needed. While he was being boarded we regularly had him groomed. A task the clinic did much better than we ever could.
When we started approaching the time to consider having to say goodbye to RuRu because of his declining health, Dr. Aaron Wentzell couldn’t have been more comforting and reassuring. A quality we will always appreciate. Given how excruciating the decision was, my husband and I are able to rest assure knowing it was the best decision for our RuRu.
Following our goodbye to RuRu the Fairfax Veterinary staff were extremely thoughtful and consoling throughout our grieving process, sending us many well-wishes, cards and flowers. Their kindness, compassion and awareness is unsurpassed by any other veterinary clinic we have ever encountered.
When our family is ready to welcome in a new furry family member we will gladly return to their care.
