I went in for the Oil & Filter change special with 12-point safety inspection and tire rotation. They did not rotate the tires because they said I have more tread on the back than the front and they have to keep the tires with more tread on the back. However, my vehicle is front-wheel drive, so I am not sure that applies.
Second, my vehicle calls for 0W20 oil and they used 5W30. Minor difference, yes, but still. They should have used the viscosity required by the manufacturer, or asked me if I was okay with a different viscosity.
Industry standards suggest that the better tires should be on the rear due to lack of control. In an emergency situation,(hydro planning) the betters tires need to be in the rear to help maintain control due to the lack of steering, or weight. Better tread in the rear means reduced chances of fish tailing. As far as oil viscosity, we ALWAYS use the proper viscosity. We check every vehicle and match proper oil to the vehicle. In this situation we may have inputted the wrong oil package? If this was brought to our attention at the cash out we would have corrected the issue immediately? At Greulichs we are in it for the long haul!!! We stand behind our work, and will always work to make our customers experience a better one. Thank you for the review. Steffan (Store Manager)
