The massage was generally good and thorough, and Marlene was very friendly. I've gotten a number of professional massages before (5+) in various locations. This was the first time that I had a Spa Therapist basically have conversations with me throughout the massage. I love a good conversation, but I think they should largely be reserved for before or after the session. During the session, although I am tolerant/friendly and don't mind, I really don't have any desire to talk about school/work during a 1-hour session that costs over $100. I purely want to relax without a single thought about any of my responsibilities for that small sacred period of time. Therefore, the massage was decent, but having a conversation during the session is not favorable. It really takes away from the experience. She also forgot to put on music for a solid 5-7 minutes into the massage, which made for an awkward silence. Generally, I forgive her for all this and understand she had good intentions throughout the session, but then the massage should cost me maximum $30-$50 because that is the quality that I am got. I quite frankly would pick a different salon next time.
