Madison did such a great job with my balayage! She really listened to what I wanted and was able to make my color come to life. The whole staff at the salon is so nice and I appreciate all the safety precautions they’re taking!

I honestly have never had an issue at His and Her Salon until my visit last week. This last experience was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a salon. To note, the appointment before I had gotten a partial balayage and was able to go about 5 months before scheduling this appointment. I had called last minute so the person who did my hair this last time was not available for an appointment. instead, I went with a girl who had previously done full foils in my hair with no issues... Big mistake..

My original appointment was scheduled at 6 but bumped up to 5:15 to consult to see if I could get a full balayage vs. a partial as I noted my hair was very thick when making the appointment and preferred a full but was open to a partial. After the consult, it was determined there was enough time to do a full.

They started foiling my hair at 5:30 and did not finish until 7:30. Once finished, they did not check the bottom portion of my hair where the color had been processing since 5:30. Instead, they ghosted for 30 minutes. Foils with bleach were falling out of my hair and near my jacket. Another hairdresser saw the look of concern on my face and asked if she could help and picked up the foils. By the time the girl came back, the salon was closed and it was clear she was rushing. I have always had toner in my hair after color and she didn't do it this time. When she went to blow dry my hair, the top portion was orange. I spoke up and she was able to go back and put toner in it. After she dried my hair, for the second time, it was close to nin and I just needed to get out of there before I had a full-on breakdown. She acted like skipping the toner and giving me orange hair was something she did on purpose. The next day, when I went to dry my hair, I noticed the bottom part of my hair was so blonde it was almost white. It does not look natural and I am embarrassed to put my hair up.

Needless to say, I am going to give myself ample time to schedule an appointment with someone else. I thought someone who was at the senior level and was about the be promoted to master would know how to do a full balayage or be able to determine if my hair was too thick for a full with the timeslot that was given.
