I’ll never go back. My elderly cat was put under for teeth removal. They sent her home with me and completely forgot to give me her pain medicine. For 4 days in a row following her surgery, I called them and told them that my cat was in pain and acting strange. They reassured me that she would be fine, not once asking about if she was taking her medication that I didn’t know about. Finally, on day 5, I begged the technician to give me something to help ease her pain. They asked if she is taking her pain meds. I said I was never given any. She paused for a bit and then laughed and said “oh yes, they’re still here in the office with us, come by tomorrow to pick them up.” 2 weeks after all of this happened, my cat grew a golf ball sized infection on the side of her face from the surgery not healing properly. I took my cat in for a check up on the first day that I noticed something strange. All they did was poke at the lump. They didn’t take a blood sample or request a follow up appointment. I immediately took her to the Scottsdale Cat Clinic who 10000% exceeded my expectations and put my car on the fasted road to recovery. I will never go back to Horizon Animal Hospital.

My sister’s cat had a similar, bad experience here and she takes her cat to Scottsdale Cat Clinic now as well. My dad and his cat followed us shortly after a bad experience with Horizon Animal Hospital, as well.

I was pretty uncomfortable with curbside drop off given that my pet is very anxious as it is. I understand precautions, but I don’t think I’ll go back until I can accompany my pet. I’m vaccinated and wear a mask, so I’m not sure why curbside is necessary anymore in AZ.

That aside, I thought the Dr and the receptionist were really friendly and reassuring. They are the reason I’d come back.

The vet tech who took my pet, however, was rather unfriendly with his questioning upon first meeting. He also was not kind to my pet - swinging the carrier around and almost hitting it against an outside column and the door. I didn’t want to say anything and be a difficult pet owner but it really troubled me, since my pet was already freaking out vocally. No harm done, but David could work on treating the pets and owners with better bedside manner, please, as it didn’t assuage an already difficult visit. Thanks!

Got my dog in on a Friday with only 2 hour notice. Took care of an urgent situation quickly and thoroughly. Everyone was helpful and attentive. Cost for emergency type surgery was affordable. Highly recommend this clinic and veterans.

Professionally handled incoming and outpatient transfers during Covid. Very thankful they were able to see my dog on emergency basis help her. The Vet communicated with me quickly about her condition and she is back home and comforts. I am very grateful!
