Overall, Dr. Stines is very professional as well as are the Hygienists. With that being said there is always room for improvement. For example, I had a 5pm appointment but remained in the lobby until 5:30 and had not been seen. I understand emergencies come up or procedures take longer than expected. This is why I would suggest some type of system that would inform clients that their appointment may need to be rescheduled or at a minimum inform them of the back up and let them make the decision. In this case I ultimately rescheduled but only after taking time off work which was very costly.
Another observation I have made is the lack of privacy regarding the check out/in process. There have been occasions where patients were having difficulty paying their bill and sitting in the lobby I could hear essentially everything. With the lobby being full at times I can see red flags with this process regarding patient privacy. The same goes for the phones. It is critical to be very professional on the phones when you are speaking to clients, but once you are off the phone that same level of professionalism should continue regarding that client you were just speaking to.
Once again with a small office always be mindful of conversations you have, how you treat staff/clients (on/off the phone and in office), and what information you are discussing.
Sincerely , Doug Clark
