my Technician was a young white male with a beard who was very professional and nice. However, while I was in the waiting room a tall black male in his 40s-maybe 50: walked in and was talking to an older black female about her car lying to her about how it had already been on the emissions machine and then telling her (and everyone because they were loud) how he does not do those inspections because they are too much hassle. Then they started talking about arguing with customers and how he would clock out, beat up the customer and then clock back in like nothing happened. This made sitting in the waiting room uncomfortable and because of my race, I was afraid of getting up to leave. I have to do this annonomously because I am afraid the man saying all this will know my address and retaliate. I will not come back to this establishment because I felt threatened because of the color of my skin. In my workplace and everywhere else, I treat people well because I want to. If I behaved like this gentleman, I would not have a job anymore. Your workplace needs some training on customer service and avoidance of threatenening behavior to customers.
