Very professional and friendly service. I appreciated that the service man was prompt and wore booties for optimal cleanliness. Also, the problem we had was fixed and in very little time.

Not really sure what the $89 appointment charge was for. Your plumber walked on the property smelled the gas leak at the meter as described and called me to approve a charge of $269 to find the leak. Shortly after approving the $269 charge he called back with the location of the leak. Why not just charge $269 to come out and find the gas leak? Bait and switch!

There was an $85.00 service call that would be used if we used their service to do the work. The plumber came out and gave me an estimate of $3,000.00 to remove my old sink and install a new one. I already had the sink, so this was just labor. What would you do??????? I told him I couldn't pay that much just to replace my sink. They kept the full $85.00 I got the job done for under $100.00

The plumbers are always knowledgeable, friendly, articulate and maintain a clean environment while they are working. They always tell me what is wrong and what it will cost to fix. Th do what they say they will do.

Technician came out and didn't diagnose my problem. (the thermocouple needed tightening) The Gas company came out the next day and solved the problem for free.

I was advised I needed a new water heater (I didn't) and it would cost 3000K. The service call was a waste, I asked for 1/2 of my $ 90 back for the trouble and never got it.

I would never refer to your plumbing company for the above reasons.

Kevin Shaw Plumbing, Inc. replied:

I am sorry you had a less than stellar experience with our company.

We have reviewed your work order and invoice notes and stand by our recommendations.

Your water heater is not code compliant. In the past somebody has worked on the water heater and broken the seal on the combustion chamber.By law, it would be negligent for us to start your water heater when we know it is not safe to operate. Yes you said that the Gas company guy got it to work, but that does not change the facts. We are not willing to put our reputation and your lives on the line, do to an unsafe condition for any amount of money, big or small. We provided a legitimate service for the fee charged.

Most recently Kevin Shaw serviced our tankless water heater. They did an outstanding job. They are not out to sell you more than you need. They are very honest and much appreciated.

I had two leaking faucets, and needed a roto rooter. Three hours later, and with a bill for over $1300, and recommendation for additional repairs that would cost $2500, your man was finished. He claimed two of the jobs took longer than expected, and that the toilet was running continuously. (The toilet made no sound, and the water was not shimmering.) He said the water pressure was too high, and after his "repairs" the shower pressure was higher, the toilet did not empty completely, and the bathroom faucets had lower pressure.

Kevin Shaw Plumbing, Inc. replied:

Richard, The work we performed is backed by a 1 year warranty. If there is something wrong, please give us a call so we can make it right. As far as the additional repairs, they notes I see said that our plumber was able to repair the tub/shower valve, so no additional work was needed. He did note that the water pressure was excessive. I have attached out techs notes so that you can see how detailed he was.

"Found lav drain draining real slow, will have to snake to attempt and correct problem. Also lavatory two handle moen faucet needs to be repaired to stop leak. Will need to replace both cartridges. Moen single control shower valve is also leaking and will attempt to make repair to stop leak. First attempt was not successful and installed another cartridge to see if it was a defective cartridge or a worn out shower valve. After second try looks like leak stopped if it does continue, we would have to change shower valve. Also found toilet leaking made repair by installing inside tank components. After work performed tested and no more leaking of the toilet. Also looked at water pressure and looks like system needs a pressure regulator to bring pressure down.
