I had Lemont Kitchen and Bath recently renovate my three bathrooms at home. While working on one of them, they found a serious structural problem in my basement. They immediately called in a bunch of experts and, with a lot of extra work and time, eventually solved the problem. Although it did cost me several thousand dollars more, it had to be done.
I had contracted Lemont a few years ago to do my kitchen and I have to say that I am not as satisfied with the bathrooms as I was with my kitchen. There are a lot of little things that bother me....unevenly positioned towel racks, only one electrical outlet in one bathroom, abad angle on the tub causing me to gave to put down towels on the floor when I take a bath, etc. I was not asking for a top of the line job, but I didn't expect these small items would annoy me as much as they do.
But all in all, I would contract Gary again, he is a super nice guy and very willing to work.
Virginia and Dave,
We're thrilled that you'd use us again, but absolutely want you to be happy in all aspects of your remodel.
The angle of the tub is a difficult problem, since it was a portion of the original bathroom plan that was untouched during the renovation.
That's one of the most difficult parts of the process, managing the needs and wants, vs. the overall budget. Since we were doing three bathrooms in your home at the same time, budget was very important. In hindsight, and now knowing that the angle of the tub causes issues for you, we should have pushed harder to expand the budget to include replacement of the tub and tile.
We'll get the towel bars adjusted right away, and as always, call us whenever you need anything at all!
