I was disapointed again. My third visit, and each one worse than the last. I believe it is the policies and prociedures that make me feel like a dollar. This time when scheduling my annual check up I mentioned having a stye. Instead of looking at the stye during my anmual review it was schedule as a medical review. I was told to put heat on it. I waited 45 minutes and paid good money to do what 20 seconds of web searching would tell me. I will not be having my family go back and feel I know many other offices I will recomend before LLEC.
I hope that the balance between proper care and respect vs the "make as much money as possible" can be found.
I'm sorry your visits at our office were so disappointing. As a staff we reviewed and discussed your concerns, looking for ways to improve. Our findings are that most of your concerns were as you suspected due to your vision plan and your medical insurance policies. Indeed, we are all frustrated by them.
Unfortunately, your eye problem made it impossible to do an accurate well vision exam. So I decided to clear up the eyes first. Partly as a practical (styes can change your vision) and partly as an insurance consideration (your two plans' policies. All this was for least out of pocket expense to you and quickest resolution. Luckily, the most effective treatment for your condition was not medications nor any procedure, and while one could find that information online, I noted that you had not implemented them so felt it was worth the time to explain fully how to do it, for how long, and how to tell if it was working and what to do if it didn't work. And while we discussed each of these points it sounds as if you were hoping for different answers and I get that. Sorry again. Best wishes should you decide to visit some of our very able colleagues.
