As i've mentioned before, this is an outstanding Veterinary hospital. Our daughter's lizard presented with a very challenging, obscure illness--everything was tried, nothing was working, he was dying--but Dr. Papscoe found a combination of treatments that finally worked for him and he slowly (oh so slowly) got better. She never gave up, and all throughout she was honest about both the prognosis and the limitations of treatments available to reptiles in general. (Never in my life have i heard a medical doctor who treats HUMANS admit that they don't know something or that they want to "just try this and see"--maybe it's ego, or the inability to reveal that they are not omnipotent?) Regardless, she found the solution and we are all very grateful for her skill and resourcefulness, as well as her empathy...not everyone is as appreciative of herps as they are of furry patients, but our lizard is family, and Dr. Papscoe was as concerned and avidly pulling for him to get well as we were. This is equally true of all the Vet Techs working here, as well--the entire staff wants the best outcome for your animal. There is no doubt in my mind that our little guy is only alive because of our wonderful Veterinarian, and all of the time and hard work she put in to help him.
