What a caring staff! My cat was just diagnosed with lymphoma. Throughout the week, Madison Street Hospital was available to me for fluids, blood work and support. All my questions were answered on a timely basis, I was always informed of estimated costs, and was always given the information I needed to make an informed decision. In fact, one of their vets actually allowed me to visit on short-notice despite near closing when we first discovered his lymphoma and needed fluids. I am incredibly thankful for their care of our sweet cat! I highly recommend Dr. Chan and Dr. Shin. Thank you Madison Street Animal Hospital on behalf of all my family and friends that love Nezumi our cat!
Staff is very efficient but not overly warm and friendly (in my opinion). The person who did the follow up call was exceptional--and I love that they did that. Again in my opinion, I would have appreciated an introduction or at least name tags. I don't even know the name of the doctor that Wally saw.
I thoroughly feel this clinic is strictly for profit and making money, not the care of the animal. I had my dog spayed (@ 7 yrs old) here because I was convinced by the drs. That if she did not get spayed she would likely get ovarian cancer or many other bad things that could lead her to be sick or die earlier than necessary. I had always not wanted to spay her to keep her more natural lifestyle, against my better judgement we got her spayed here. She did get sick afterwards (which I expected, fine) but also the incision was not clean or healing well (not expected). I brought her back to have the incision looked at and they without any tests or anything more than feeling her by hand for 3 seconds told me she had cancer because of less than a pea size bump at one of her nipples (that was there previous) and quoted me $1000 to remove!!! I told the drs I had a biopsy before and she was fine. Then upon checkout they wanted to charge me $40 to be seen. The purpose of the visit was to look at the red and looking infected incision for the operation. I would think that they should care for the animal from beginning of operation to being healthy. I will not bring my dog back. I will not refer. And I have told anyone who asks about this clinic.
I feel very comfortable taking our dog to this vet. They get you in right away, go over pricing before doing any procedures, very friendly, and clean. I have taken our beagle several times over the last 6 months and have had a positive experience every time. I would recommend this vet.
Even though my dog Spyke is very excitible indoor dog. The Providers at Madison Animal hospital are welcoming to us. Spyke is not at all favorable to having his nails clipped and tay had him in and out in minutes. That's never happened for him. On his previous visit he had a cracked tooth that had gotten infected the took care of him so well. I thank you all Spyke is very special to me and my 9 year old son who treats spyke as if he is his brother.
