Warning : long post alert ahead! First off, my hair turned out great. The young lady who styled my hair did an amazing job. She did my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it to be. She was very patient with me and professional. Didnt catch her name.
However, everything leading up to my style was not an enjoyable experience. I originally scheduled an appointment with a Marletta because after reading reviews, I saw she was really good at cutting hair. I scheduled for 9 am. They told me she had a 9am already and they moved me to 9:30. Cool. I get there and I tell them what i want and they move me to the shampoo bowl. The whole time the young ladies shampooing my hair were gossiping. She would literally stop doing my hair to talk to the other girl. I asked for a conditioning treatment. Mind you, I've NEVER been to this salon before. Idk what their treatments look like. She conditions my hair, let it sit and then ANOTHER lady blow dries it. After its completely dry, they come back and tell me they FORGOT the treatment and say go back to the wash bowl. I told them no, my hairs already dry and I just wanna get this over with now.
I'm sitting there looking at the lady who's suppose to be doing my hair and realize thats not The person I'm scheduled for. I ask the young lady who blow dried my hair and she tells me, " oh no, Marletta took off!" Soooooo you didnt wanna tell me this when I came in? I'm scared at this point and just wanna walk out because that made me so mad. If i scheduled with someone and they're not there let ME make the decision if i still wanna get my hair done!!!
I decide to stay because i have NOWHERE else to go and i need my hair done.
I came in at 9:30 to get my hair done...i didnt leave till around 1:30!!!! It took almost 2 hours before she got to me because there was two more women in front of me. Whats the point of scheduling an apointment then???
I get it can be stressful when someone takes off but dang let the clients know ahead of time. I was put under the inpression that this salon was speedy but i stayed there allll morning. There was no communication with things, i was just going with THEIR flow. It came off very unprofessional and I'm very sad because I'm new to the area and really looking for a new stylist. The girl did great on my hair but the service before hand wasnt good. I've spent hefty money for my hair before and for great service. So i expect it always especially after reading so many reviews about the service for this salon being so good.
