Eye examination was excellent. My appointment was scheduled for mid-day Saturday and it seemed a bit rushed to pick frames before the store closed. The number of frames to choose from is also limited.

My husband and I had gift cards for massages which were purchased as a gift for us. The gift cards were 2 years old and although they didn't say anything about expiring, I called the spa to book the massages and verified they were still valid. I was reassured that they never expire and was even asked for the gift card numbers. We had the massages which were average but the issue was more with when we had to pay. We told the woman at the desk (who we found out was actually the owner) that we had gift cards to use. When she swiped our gift cards she said that they were expired. I told her I called specifically and asked and was told they never expire. She proceeded to say that they are only good for a year and that the prices have gone up since the gift cards were purchased and she would have to charge us the difference in price. We had no problem in paying the difference in price (because we know it had been a couple of years) but based on her customer service, we would never return. She never once apologized for the confusion or even acknowledged the fact that the person on the phone did not give us the correct information. She continued to go on about how the prices have gone up, people answering the phone wouldn't know, etc. If I owned her business, I would have apologized on behalf of the employee who gave us the wrong information and would have waived the price difference.There was even a woman before us paying with a gift certificate and the owner was giving her a hard time with her gift certificate. There are many spas and a lot of competition in Ridgewood Nj and I visit other spas frequently. if she was expecting to win me over, she failed. As a business owner, she needs to learn how to provide customer service.
