Linwood Animal Hospital
I've been going to Linwood since I adopted my chihuahua mix 4 years ago. The vets, tech's, and receptionists go out of their way to treat their human and animal clients with respect & kindness and to provide information to the "pet parents" to make them true partners in the care of their pets. The entire staff is professional and knowledgeable. Right now, the hospital has put Covid precautions in place in which you fill out a medical history & questions/concerns survey online prior to your appointment, call the front desk when you arrive to tell them which parking bay you are in and they come out to you to retrieve your pet for exam/treatment while you wait in the car. I had no qualms about this because after 4 years, I know I can trust them to treat my dog just as they would if I were standing there watching them. I knew they'd be gentle, pet, talk to and reassure her as they always do. After the exam/treatment is completed, one of the tech's will return your pet and deliver any prescriptions, food or other purchases to your car. If you paid by credit card, they already took your card info over the phone & deliver your receipt as well. If you are paying with cash, they'll call you with the amount, come out to get the payment then return with your receipt. While all vet care is expensive, this practice is, according to the local Humane Society & my experience with 3 vets in the past, the least expensive in the city. They provide a detailed typed visit summary with the last dates all vaccines were given & when they are next due as well as their exam findings, diagnosis, and recommendations. If something serious is going on or you noted specific concerns, the vet will call you to discuss his/her findings and recommendations. Frankly, I have serious, chronic illnesses that require frequent doctor visited, lab work & other tests & hospital stays in Lowell & Boston's best hospital and I think my dog receives equal or better care than I do! I can't find enough superlatives to convey just how much I love and how highly I recommend this practice & its staff!Read More …
