I have been a patient of Whitney Crain's for almost two years. I can not say enough how great her patient care, follow through and advocating for her patients is. I have a combination of medical problems, and she has been phenominal in helping me to get the best care possible. I also love the availability I have to her through the patient portal. She is truly talented at what she does, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who feels they need a change in doctors, or are looking to find a great doctor in our area. My care at MedFirst and with Whitney Crain has been exceptional, and I have definitely found the best place for my long-term medical care.

The wait times have been at least an hour the last few appts I have had. I love the convenience of it being in Sneads Ferry but waiting for over an hour to even get put in a room and then waiting longer, is really frustrating. Especially as a stay at home mom with limited babysitting options, I often have two children in tow.

My overall visit here was satisfactory. I was a walk-in at 8am and it took me about an hour to be seen, which I expected. Whitney Crain was excellent. She was quite knowledgeble and friendly. However, the receptionist was awful. Every client was greeted with "Date of birth?" at the window in a disinterested tone. I attempted to tell her that I had gotten married since my last visit 2 years ago, but she proceeded to call me by my maiden name and did not get me to update any information. I had also gotten new insurance since that last visit. After seeing Whitney, I told her that my pharmacy would have my new name so the prescription would need to be in that name. She instructed the receptionist that I had updated information. I was standing at the window with my license/insurance card when the receptionist slide open the window and snatched the cards out of my hand without a word. She copied them, asked for my copay, and then handed my cards back to me. When I asked if that was everything, she responded "yup" and never looked at me. If not for the convenience of this office, she would be enough to convince me not to return.

**Also while I was waiting, the receptionist and medical assistant were discussing another patient (by name) and the patient's gastrointestinal specialist appointment findings. Can you say HIPAA violation?

The receptionists are not friendly; in fact, they are down right rude. The two that were at the counter when I walked in acted as if I was interrupting their social time. No smiles, hello, how are you or any other kind of positive or courteous manner. This is the second time I used Med First, and it was the same both times.

The NP, Whitney Crane was very nice, listened to my concerns and took them into account when prescribing medication. She was friendly, had a great smile and made me feel comfortable.

However, getting to her through the receptionists has twice been an unpleasant experience. I haven't ever been to a doctor's office that had such rude and unprofessional staff at the front desk.
