I made a sick appointment for Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Due to an accident on Route 47 I was delayed 5 minutes to my appointment. When I arrived and signed in the waiting room was full. There were about 6 people in front of me. Several patients seemed to be complaining of the wait time. I respect the doctor needs to take extra time with patients sometimes (I myself prefer Dr. A for that reason) so I didn't mind much at first. I understand the VIP process as I've done it myself in the past (for an early AM visit before work). Approx. 7:30-7:45 p.m. 2 more male patients came in, which were not VIP. The entire waiting room emptied and it was down to the 3 of us (2 gentleman and myself). I went to the check in desk and said I've been here since 6:30 and was told I was next. Then 1 of the gentleman was called back. Then, the other! I finally got up and said I've been here since 6:30 and there is no way I am going to be the last patient seen. That is just NOT acceptable. Finally around 8:10 p.m. I was called to the back where I then sat for another 50 minutes. I was not seen until 9:00 p.m.! 2 1/2 hours wait is just not acceptable. Also, the waiting room was freezing and the TV was way too loud.
