Mirasol Solar carries on the tradition of providing energy-efficient products for the home. With business was originally started by George W. Egglefield in 1959 with the creation of Southern Insulation Co. For over 43 years Southern Insulation provided energy-saving alternatives for Sarasota, Charlotte, and Manatee counties. In 1977 Southern Insulation created a Solar Water Heating division, which soon after became known as Mirasol. Scott Egglefield was among the first in the state of Florida to receive the Residential Solar Contractor license in 1980 shortly followed by a state-certified plumbing contractor license which enabled Mirasol to be licensed to install water heaters, swimming pool heat pumps and gas heaters.
In 1987 Mirasol was approached by FAFCO, the leading manufacturer of solar pool heating panels, and became their exclusive distributor for a five-county area. In 2006, Mirasol obtained the state solar contractor license which enabled them to begin installing Photovoltaic (solar electric) systems.
Today, Mirasol Solar has 43 years of experience, over 14,000 solar product customers, and spans three generations of Egglefield's with Damon Egglefield as the latest addition. Mirasol Solar, among our popular solar energy products also now offers additional products and swimming pool accessories to make life easier, such as pool and spa automation, natural purifiers for pools, solar water heaters, pool cleaners, heat pump pool heaters and gas pool heaters. Our installation, service, and sales departments are all very knowledgeable and experienced in the solar energy industry.

Absolutely the BEST!! Really can't say anymore. My electric bill went from $609.81 for June 2019 to 131.17 for June of 2020, For May of 2019 went from $620.75 to $50.32 for May 2020. Need I say anymore?

"Wow!" is all I can really say. I interviewed 3 different companies, and can say I am very fortunate to have selected Mirasol. They were very professional and handled all the roadblocks as they came up with my system without fail. And there were quite a few (due to my setup, not Mirasol's doing). Mirasol went above and beyond what I would expect any company to do to get the job done correctly and gain this customer's complete satisfaction. Bruce was the lead man on both calls, very good worker and very efficient, neat and clean. Great job removing and then replacing my pool solar panels. good experience with Mirasol Solar, the only problem was I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment to replace the panels .....
