OK ... The story is "I lost absolutely EVERYTHING, including family pictures, videos, and any document I ever created." My PC hard drive crashed and two external hard drives also failed. After much research I picked Network by Design (and crossed my fingers) as my data recovery specialist. Now, I was nervous to drop off this hard drive, but the staff was polite and courteous and Kevin was able to spend time with me and answer all of my questions. He was also consistently available by phone to discuss progress, next steps, etc. Now, the process was lengthy (about 3 months), which included extensive software recover attempts and "white room" service (what's that, right?), however, in the end, every single file and folder was recovered in the same file structure that I had extensively maintained at home. Apparently the chip board on this external hard drive was fried.

So, although a wonderful company with wonderful staff, I hope never to see Kevin or Networks by Design again! I now have two raid devices, two cloud back-up services, one external hard drive (off site), and all pictures saved to M-Discs. Not sure what else I can do!

Well, this place is the real deal. I needed to put a lot of trust into a company (and people) I previously had no dealings with, but they came through. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Back up your data people .. spend the money. Learn about it! Do your 1-2-3 backups!

Networks by Design dba Web Services by Design at 45 Alabama Avenue, Island Park NY 11558 was hired on August 25 2014 to produce my web site working and live in about 3 months. It is Now March 7 2015, over 6 months and I still have not seen a working website. Bill was suppose to have updates last week and now I'm hearing next week.They used a basic template to modify and due to lack of experience have been unable to get critical functions working. From the start of the project Bill Burke the vice president and I thoroughly examined all the data I had and all the functions of similar websites and was told by Bill all data I had to give to him / Web Services by Design is NO PROBLEM and all good to go when they wanted the job and deposit. Bill had all data and several weeks to evaluate prior to quoting the job. Bill was very responsive and accommodating with his communicating with me in the beginning back in September 2014 but got much less prompt and responsive when their programmer from india crapped out on them, so beware of that. Now it's taking even more time and now even more un kept promises and still no website. I am not happy with the way my website project has been and is being handled by Networks by Design dba Web Services by Design. Knowing they had a problem they should have made it right for ME the client back in 2014. At least certainly by now March 2015, 6 months later and nothing but data entry excuses. At this point I really have heard enough un kept delivery and update promises and failure to deliver from the vice president William Burke. I'm sure you know what's next if the website is not done by the end of March 2015, now 7 months after they were hired. Bill and Steve, this is a problem that is not going away, both of you should have diligently straightened this out as a priority and had it done by now. Enough with the excuses. I will update this report shortly.

THIS COMPANY ACTUALLY HAS LIVE PEOPLE TAKING PHONE CALLS. IF YOU CAN'T GET DOWN THERE, THEY CAN HELP WITH REMOTE ACCESS.IN ADDITION, WHEN YOUR PC IS BEYOND REPAIR---THEY ACTUALLY TELL YOU..HONEST, WITH INTEGRITY...HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP IF YOU NEED HELP WITH YOUR PC..BUSINESS WISE, OR JUST AN INDIVIDUAL

I know very little about the working of a computer hard drive but when mine crashed and I lost all my unsaved data, I knew I was in trouble. Kevin at Networks by Design was able to recover a large majority of the data I lost. The recovery was fast and I was never made to feel stupid. Kevin happily explained the entire process to me and worked me through every step until I had all my data back on my new hard drive. Thanks Kevin.

That being said, data recovery is extremely expensive! Back up everything every day!
