I opened my email to literally write an email directly to the office to thank everyone for such a great experience yesterday and to ask if there's any place they'd like me to leave a review, and then I saw this email about providing feedback! So here I am. I had a really rough day yesterday, and then went to the dentist. I'm trans and my legal name is still something other than what I go by, but at LEAST 4 different staff members remembered me from a few prior visits and used the name I go by and they're just the kindest people in general. Also no one at all used incorrect pronouns for me, and just used my name when referring to me, and didn't use any gendered language, which is super cool. (I use gender neutral they/them pronouns, but just plugging in my name instead also works and I could tell it was intentional and respectful!) Super trans-friendly and affirming. I wanted to thank them in person but I was too emotional after my difficult day but when I left I was just moved to tears in a good way. I also have a few chips on my teeth that are no big deal and probably one day will fill them in but I appreciated when one of the assistants mentioned it on my chart to inquire if we're doing anything about it today, Dr. Fujishige just said that I would reach out about that if I ever wanted to -- which I thought was ALSO super cool and wasn't pressuring me or making me feel self-conscious. Also the x-rays and cleanings don't hurt!! Loooooove this place.
