Overall, my experience was fine (not great). The only reason is wasn't great was my "patient counselor", Shawna. Honestly, I am very disappointed. When I first contacted NVISION and went in for a consultation, she was responsive and helpful, and really seemed interested in helping me... until it came time to schedule. I wanted to wait for the following year (approximately 2-3 months) so that I could max out my medical flex account - and once I told her that, she basically became unavailable. She didn't return (multiple) phone calls promptly, and when I complained she told me to email her for a quicker response... which didn't happen either. She really put an incredibly sour taste in my mouth; which sucks because for nearly 5K, I would have thought they would bend over backwards to keep me happy. Now that I have had the surgery, I wish I was happier about my experience. The surgery itself was fine - staff was good, surgery was quick and easy. Dr. Tooma was kind and performed the surgery, and I appreciate his care. And not needing glasses nor contacts anymore is amazing. But honestly, the more I write about it, the more pissed off I am. If I were to offer some constructive criticism, it would be to implement a 2 day response policy - return calls or emails within 2 days... period. Having to call, several times, over several days/weeks, and then being told that an email will receive a faster response, and then it doesn't... I am pissed - I doubt I will recommend NVISION because of her.
