It has been a week since I had monovision Lasik surgery at Nvision in Newport Beach. To be honest, I am disappointed. My distance vision is great, but I now have to wear readers to see clearly what I am reading. That is the case with reading text messages, a book, or working on the computer. Previously I was using monovision contacts and when doing lots of reading or computer work, I could take out my contacts and see the screen absolutely clearly. Now I am wearing readers a great deal of the time and still can't clearly read street signs when driving. I saw my eye doctor yesterday and she said that at this point, my vision won't improve. I am disappointed because I am dependent on glasses far more than before. Prior to surgery, I made it clear that I needed to be able to read as well as see at a distance without reliance on glasses. It seems as each day goes by, my reading is blurrier and blurrier. I am very disappointed. The facility was clean and the employees were personable and efficient, but the outcome of the surgery was not positive. I can't even see print clearly at any distance without squinting and/or using readers.
