Optimum Air installed two new units for us in Early 2017. Both units worked fine, and were installed correctly.
However, about 6 months later, when I went to take the grills off to clean the coils on these units I discovered that
they had fastened the disconnects on the removable grills that have to be taken of to clean the outer coils. Made the job very difficult!
I was unable to fasten the hail grills back on.
When I called them for help, as I was unable to reinstall the hail grills on either unit, they sent a technician right out to help. We went on the roof and I showed him what the problems were. He agreed that the disconnects could have been fastened in better places on both units.
Said he would have to come back, bring some supplies, to modify the job, but never came back.
I called about two months later, thinking that maybe this job had just slipped between the cracks, or maybe due to employee turnover, the information hadn't gotten to the right person.
I left a message, but never received a response back this time.
At this time, no further work has been done to these units.
