Buddy had his teeth cleaned, which meant he had to be intubated for the anesthesia. He has asthma and I was concerned after I brought him home. His breathing sounded a bit raspy at times. I was told that this was because he got water in his nose and that he should be fine. The post-procedure instructions stated that he might have a cough for a couple of days. Since then he has had a couple of coughing fits ... or they could have been asthma attacks. I administered his rescue inhaler and he seemed to be fine afterwards. I just hope that he didn't aspirate and get something in his lungs during or after the procedure. He also has FIV and I don't want him to get aspiration pneumonia. So far, today, he is doing well. He's eating, drinking and playing as normal. Still keeping a close eye on him. Other than this, the experience was good.
