Pearl Salon and Skin Studio is nestled in the hills of suburban Westlake, but only a few minutes from downtown Austin, North Austin and West Austin--truly in the heart of it all, an apt description for a salon that prides itself in beauty for everyone. Pearl exists to make its clientele look and feel amazing- whether that means revitalizing the skin, framing the face with perfect eyebrows and a fresh cut or simply changing hair color to bring out the best features, Pearl's 60+ combined years of experience can handle any request. In addition to being in good hands, clients can experience luxury care due to Pearl's excellent partnerships with the well known, trend setting brand Kerastase. The best in technology can revitalize and drastically change the health and performance with products and treatment from Kerastase, but the same can be said of skin--Pearl partners with Rhonda Allison, a nature infused line of gentle but potent skin care that is based in Texas.
In fall of 2011, the owner, Chad Fletcher hit a milestone--10 years as a hairstylist, a decade of inspired hair influenced by the great beauty found in his life around him. "Hair is my passion, I love it and I love even more the relationships that I have with clients that in have in part let me change their day, and sometimes their whole outlook." Chad started his career here in Austin at Baldwin Beauty School and has worked as an in demand stylist at various salons around town. In 2005, Chad made the move to Chicago where he worked at the esteemed, world class Kerastase Salon. In addition to Kerastase, Chad has also crafted his artistic talent with the help of Bumble and Bumble, and has furthered his education in L.A., New York and Florida. While working in Chicago was a career highlight, the lure of the Texas Hill Country was too strong, and Chad returned to Austin, close to his native Kerrville in 2007.
The summer of 2008, Chad made the move to open his own salon, something he had strived for since the start of his career--Pearl Salon and Skin Studio was literally born over night and has been a success ever since. The salon's name comes from Chad's grandmother. She has been his rock, guidance and his biggest supporter, and so it was fitting that he would name the salon after her. The salon is an extension of Chad--friendly, and warm, it's the neighborhood hang-out while at the same time being a hidden luxury gem--a very Austin-esque description if there ever was one.
