I love taking Jack here. I brought my friends dog in because he had an ear infection and was treated very well. However, I had a question that literally took up less than a minute of the veterinarians time and got charge $50. If I would've known that I was going to be charge so much for something I could've looked up on Google I would've never asked. As a single mother living paycheck to paycheck right now I can't afford $50 questions. Really bummed about this.
Ragan! We love having you and Jack as part of our Pinebrook family! I am sorry you feel your time was not worth the office call. His exam included conversations about neutering in male dogs and how it affects anatomy, urinating in the house, dominance and socialization issues with the other dog in the house, behavior training to improve these issues, as well as annual needs for dogs. These are all very important conversations about Jack's health, issues that may not be covered well by Google.
I recently switched to Pinebrook Veterinary from another local veterinary. The staff there is knowledgeable and very friendly and so good with animals. The exam rooms are more like home and my dog is much more comfortable and less stressed. I highly recommend taking your 4-legged best friend there!
I was treated very respectfully and my injured cat very sensitively. My only concern was that I was referred to a Surgical specialist, who gave a different opinion about his injury and treatment. For a serious injury, it may have been wiser to go to the pet ER and surgical clinic in Salt Lake City first.
It was great to see you the other day and we are glad to help you with the healthcare of your dog. Please don't hesitate to ask about any specials at the time of service; unfortunately, the coupon you mention was an email coupon for purchases from our on-line store, not in-clinic services.
I took my dog to Pinebrook Animal Hospital because Sadie has Cushings Disease and I heard their Vet was knowledgeable about the disease. Most disappointing Vet Appt ever. Because of Cushings Sadie had an infected swollen paw. Vet took X-ray and all she said was Sadie has arthritis and couldn't tell me what to do with paw. The bill was almost $300 and when I asked why the girl at the front desk said X-ray and initial exam. There was no exam so she deducted the exam cost.
We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with our services. As general veterinary practitioners, we work with Cushing's disease on a regular basis; however, if you would like a specialist for this endocrine disease, I would recommend a veterinary internist, available in Salt Lake City. The expenses you incurred included the consultation with the veterinarian, two x-rays, as well as antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory to address the infection and pain in your dog's foot. We hope Sadie is feeling better.
