Excellent hardly begins to describe my experiences. I visited for different reasons each time, for a series to treatments last year and then back for treatment this week. The first time I was a skeptic--never had tried acupuncture but believe traditional medicine is not perfect. Now I see the importance of integrative medicine--a combo of the best of both western and eastern knowledge. Recently I found myself with a host of symptoms and alarming lab test results, and visits to my internist and two specialists she sent me to see are still six weeks away from a diagnosis. I was not feeling better day after day and gave up all exercise due to exhaustion and dizziness, tingling in my hands and feet. I decided to return for acupuncture when nothing else was making me feel better. When I left the office yesterday I felt much better, head to toe. Feeling better really lifted my spirits! Helpful, too, was a recommendation for a vitamin, and follow-up care--a phone call to see how things are going and a further recommendation. I'm fortunate to have insurance that picks up most of the cost, but the sessions are a fraction of an urgent care visit or visit to the family doctor. I now get why the center doesn't use "Integrative medicine" in its name--because the goal is wellness.
