This is the third time i try the Pink Lime Salon, the first was grrat the second experience was bad and i thought i could try a third to see if i continue going there. The third time was the worst, i had to fight eith the hairdraisser to get what i eanted, they put products in my hear withiut asking.... it was horrible!!!

I went to Pink Lime for a colour and haircut with Marium Bawa. It was an all around great experience! Marium was lovely and really understood what I wanted to do with my hair. Will definitely go back!

Staying in Yaletown for 2 months. Needed a hair cut so decided to walk up Davies to see what I could find. Walked into Pink Lime and was met by Hanif at the door. Hanif that he specializes in short hair. My hair is short. I can tell right away that he loves what he does despite the fact he has a BA in Philosophy! Best haircut I've ever had!! Will make trip back from the island so that Hanif can cut my hair! Would definitely recommend to my friends.

Last night at around 6:59 PM I called the salon and asked if a stylist was available to do a simple trim on my hair - I explained that my hair was straight, past my derriere, and needed just 6-8 inches cut off the bottom straight across. She said the salon closed at 8:00 PM however the cut was easy and I can come in.

We came around 7:18 PM. There was a receptionist, a fellow, another girl, and the stylist I would see - Marina. There were a couple of kids sitting in the lounge and I guess someone was finishing up.

Within a few minutes Marina came and introduced herself and took me to the chair to wash my hair. I had shown her the length of my hair and reiterated what I simply wanted done. I also asked her to give me a shampoo with no fragrance or least amount as I have sensitivities. I also told her that I have some health issues.

As she was setting up, I went to the ladies room quickly, then came back and asked what chair I'd sit in, she pointed to the one closets to the ladies room, for which I was surprised as it looked unclean, there were some hairs on the seat from a previous customer. A turn off for a salon that is supposed to be 5 stars. I didn't say anything as I was tired, not feeling the best, and just wanted a simple trim.

So she started washing my hair, I told her to put something under as I have a neck injury, she put a towel, and then during the wash, there was NO scalp massage as you advertise, just a regular wash and rinse, twice - during which time she wasn't exactly gentle and first ended up literally pulling the earring right out of my left ear, she could have tore my ear - and the earring could have been damaged, which by the way is 24 kt white gold with diamonds. So I put it back in and mentioned this to her and she seemed to skip over it. Then,

water was flowing down my back, I kid you not, twice it happened, and i'm sitting there with a tank top and hoodie over it, with water going down my back. Now even a cheap salon would ask you to remove your top and put on a salon plastic gown instead, but to my shock that didn't happen. Was it because she was in a rush that all this occurred, or because I wasn't wearing 'expensive' clothes. Either way, that is not right, I didn't feel valued and I felt like I was in a cheap salon.

So after that was done, she takes me to her area. I start to wipe underneath my tank top, and she sees it, only after I keep struggling to wipe it, does she offer to help, and then she wipes a bit. And then she asked what I wanted and I said just cut this much and I showed her with my hand on my hair, straight across the bottom.

So she started to comb my hair, said it was very tangled, I told her to use a detangler, she said she did. I use one at home and never have issued detangling. Anyways, she wasn't gentle she tugged a lot, and it hurt, and given I told her I have a neck injury you would think she'd pay attention to that and not tug. Again I said nothing as at this point I was very concerned if I did that she'd do a bad job on purpose. So when that was done, she then started to cut, which took all of a few minutes. Then she took out the blowdryer and brush and at most 10 minutes later was done. So all in all the wash, cut and blow dry took max. 45 minutes. She showed it to me and my husband and he said it was cut fine and then I went up front to pay. And this is the worst part of it - $126 - I was like what???

On your website it says very clearly a haircut for women is between $65 to $75. And it also says all haircuts include a wash and style. That is ALL I got, a haircut with wash and style (which really was only a blow dry, no curling, no straightening with an iron, no frills at all).

By this point, I was feeling worn out, had a headache, and so I paid in utter shock that I was getttng ripped off. Walked out, my husband said what is going on??? I showed him your website, the price page, and he went in by himself as I just could not deal with this, and came out and was told that's the price. That you guys charge one price for the haircut, and then to wash and style the hair, you charge another price.

So yes she did cut my hair as requested but the service overall was worse than a no frills salon, I felt like I was looked upon poorly because I have health problems, and that in itself is discrimination against people with disabilities, there was no beverage offered, in fact my husband asked for coffee and they said they have none, no scalp massage, no hot towel for the face. If time was an issue, rather than be money hungry, the answer should have been 'sorry but there's not enough time for us to give you the full service that we advertise on our site so let's book you in another time/day'. You DON'T take someone in and then hurry them through like a cow through a stall.

I'm a person, and I feel like warning people that if they don't dress a certain way, or if they have health issues, they better not come to Pink Lime Salon and Spa or they will be rushed through and will get over charged.

So yes Marina as a stylist knows how to cut hair, but that's where it begins and stops. She needs to learn to treat people as individuals, we are not all the same, to be compassionate and aware of sensitivities or health issues, to be gentle, to not rush them, and to not over charge.

I should have paid your maximum hair cut price which is $75 and that's it. You have until end of business day today to refund my card the balance - $126 less $75 = $51 .... I will not come there again, I have zero trust, this is not the same salon I used to go to when it first opened, and I would not recommend it. I was friendly to her and nice because I wanted a stress free experience. It's not just about the $51 that I was overcharged on, it's the principles involved. So I ask that you remedy this today, that you educate Marina

and your receptionist what your prices are, and that they should not book people in if they don't have the time, and that they treat everyone equally, and that they be more gentle. I will then once this is resolved wish you all the best, and that one day you may

be the Pink Lime salon that we used to love getting our hair done at.
