Fabulous Holistic Chiropractor! Definitely, a step (or two) above others and totally different from the norm. Instead of requiring a multitude of appointments like most others do, he suggested cutting my 30 minute appointment down to 15 minutes, since it took him less than that to determine what was causing my pain and applied the first step towards alleviating it.
When I called to make an appointment, I made 2 appointments (because Chiropractors always require follow-up appointments, right?). Prior to going in the treatment room, Dr. McKenzie asked why I had made 2 appointments. I told him that I was going to be traveling soon and I wanted to make sure I was “good to go” before my trip. He said that I could decide after the current appointment whether or not I wanted to move forward with the second appointment. In other words, he was discouraging the follow-up appointment (Did I already mention, he is not like most other Chiropractors?)
Dr. McKenzie did not use his hands to “crack” my back at anytime during my appointment. With his extensive education and thorough examination he was able to quickly diagnose the issue. He used tape to support my injury and modern tools to work my sore muscles. (Yes, I ended up choosing to stay for the full 30 minute appointment to get my sore muscles worked on. I live out of town and wanted to make the most of my appointment).
I had not seen Dr. McKenzie in about 5 years and I was thrilled with how well my appointment went. I considered his fee very reasonable and I was also happy to hear that he accepts Blue Cross of Idaho insurance.
I am known for being a very critical person and I do not readily hand out compliments. Dr. McKenzie and his staff repeatedly exceeded my expectations of patient care and customer service. Kudos to all!
