I wasn't especially satisfied with the work. Synthetic oil was used in my vehicle without authorization. My vehicle doesn't use synthetic oil and I didn't appreciate paying double the cost for the product. No mention was made of the two air filters that apparently need replaced. No mention was made of the dirty transmission fluid and had I not read the full work order, something I think very few people probably do, I'd never have known these situations. I take good care of my vehicle and when there are issues that need addressed I expect the shop to bring those to my attention as these can be significant issues if left unresolved, particularly the transmission fluid. My family owned a car dealership and service departments like this are not in business long for many reasons including loss of opportunity and loss of future business. I also had a problem with the windshield washer fluid which at least was resolved, but I had to return the shop to get it taken care of, as the technician was willing to let the vehicle go with no mention of the issue when all it took was reconnecting a fluid line. For all the acclaim of the shop I'm surprised at the level of service.
Synthetic oil was not used on your vehicle, but a synthetic blend which is your modern 'conventional' oil; full synthetic oil would have been more. The recommendations that were made can be done at a later date, as time of arrival was too late in the day to perform these services. We have been in business since 1989, and with our high volume of customers it is hard to fit 'last minute' jobs at the end of the day. It also would have been nice to know about the washer line, as that shield does not need to be removed for the oil change, so we're a little puzzled why that was an issue, but yes, we did get is resolved for you. We try our hardest to run a legitimate business; please bring your car in earlier or have an appointment if you would like a proper assessment of your vehicle. Thanks for understanding.
