When I closed on my first home in January 2016 and I was preparing to renovate, I was very apprehensive about the process of hiring a contractor. I had heard nothing but horror stories from friends and family who had undergone home renovations, and I was very skeptical of the industry. But my perception changed as soon as LJK Finishes started working on my home. As an initial matter, LJK is run by Louis and Scott, a 3rd generation father and son team. They are intelligent, diligent, and are highly customer service oriented. The superintendent of my building - who, like me, is skeptical of the contracting industry - was instantly impressed by their professionalism and willingness to comply with my co-op's detailed policies and procedures. Louis and Scott use a highly individualized approach and do not follow a "cookie cutter" model when coming up with a plan to meet a client's objectives and budget. After coming up with a plan for my apartment (which involved, among other things, painting, skimming ceilings, replacing doors, and redoing floors and cabinets) the team started work immediately and worked tirelessly until the work was complete. Louis and Scott are highly responsive to questions, personally supervised the job, and even devoted time on the weekends to accompanying me to home depot to purchase various supplies, which were often unrelated to the work that LJK was doing. Because of their work ethic, obvious skill, and outstanding attention to the smallest of details, I was not surprised when the end result was a flawless - and gorgeous - apartment. I will use them for all of my future contracting needs and will recommend them to anyone for any type of contracting job.
Can't be happier. Well maybe if I had not had the accident. Dr Alesia and his staff did excellent work on my face stitching it back up and I could not ask for more with the follow ups. When I visited another plastic surgeon he admired the work that had been done.
