We offer naturopathic medicine, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and homeopathy as well as medical qigong, healing touch and nutritional services in a compassionate and supportive environment. Our mission is to improve lives within the Richmond community using a holistic model that provides compassionate, individualized medicine through education, collaboration, transparency, integrity, and prevention.

We also work hard to empower our clients during visits by encouraging questions about their care plan during their visit and also by providing clients with email contact information for questions that might occur after their initial visit. Empowerment through teaching is one of the seven naturopathic principles that we pride ourselves on at RNM. During our intakes, full disclosure around the care plan being a recommendation and not a requirement is discussed.
As we are now in the digital age, search engines and websites related to health has increased dramatically over the last decade. With more information and knowledge being shared on the Internet, the consumer population has become one that is much more knowledgeable. Which is great. We are excited and encouraged when patients are informed. When we see clients in office we are able to make recommendations that are more personalized rather than a generalized idea one might gather from a quick google search.
As it relates to supplements, the DSHEA Act of 1994 (via the FDA) regulates the safety, availability and definition of supplements. The DSHEA Act was put in place to protect consumers.
Our dispensary contains products that have been deemed safe and permissible under the DSHEA Act and many of which are available for purchase in your local health food store (s). Here at RNM we strive towards first doing no harm. Our ability to consider our clients? personalized presentations and our deep knowledge of complementary and alternative modalities aid us in creating care plans that work well and that are safe for our clients.
