I like Dr. Leflore hes very nice and same goes for his Staff the only thing I wish is before procedures are done that will not be covered on my Insurance please tell me this in advance so I can make the decision whether I want to pay out of pocket or not. Every year we only set a side so much monies for various Medical things we need done both Dental and Medical so I need to be the one controlling where the monies are spent not the Doctors Office.
Every Procedure needs to be told up front what the DEntal is paying and what the Patient will owe so the Patient can determine what they will do.
Dr. Rick LeFlore replied:
We strive to make sure our patients get the best care available. When you go to your Physician, do they ask you about having things done. They don't. On oral cancer we have found out that 37,000 individuals are newly diagnosed with oral cancer. If you add throat cancer to that number it will increase to about 48,000 people. The death rate from oral cancer is very high; about 48% of those diagnosed will not survive more than 5 years. Most people are diagnosed with stage 4. With new technology that we have available in our practice we are making our patients aware, avoiding risk factors by getting an annual screening. We believe our patients deserve the BEST.
