VERY disappointed in the service offered by Rocha's. I hired Rocha's to do a vehicle pre-purchase inspection on Friday July 8th of July. I specifically told the service writer that I was coming from out of state to purchase a local vehicle close to where Rocha's is located, and that I wanted not only a mechanical inspection but a physical inspection of the exterior and interior of the vehicle.
When making the appointment, it was determined that the vehicle had been in the shop for service before - that should have been my first clue to pick another shop. The service writer after setting up the appointment said he would email me the inspection report when finished, and I asked that he call me on my cell, as I was not near my computer and would not get the email. No call came. I called and asked for the results, and I was informed of the mechanical status. I asked again about the physical appearance, inside and out. I was told that the interior was fine, the exterior has a couple of minor dings, but was overall straight.
After driving 400 miles (one way), I arrived at the vehicle to find that it had been involved in a single car accident, months earlier. The passenger side of the vehicle had $1,000 - $1,500 damage, probably more, to the drivers' side door and fender flares front and rear on the passenger side. The paint on the cab and hood was badly sun damaged in places, and oxidized. No mention of the damage or extent of the damage from either the technician or the service writer. Instead, I got pictures of each tire showing tread pattern - really? No picture of course of the wheels, which were also a little rough in condition as well.
Bottom line? I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Either they were in cahoots with the owner of the vehicle on this, or they are incompetent. You decide. And if you need a pre-purchase inspection? Don't walk, RUN to another shop. I am out $400.00 in mileage (800 miles X .50 cents per mile), and 16 hours of time.
