Forget what you know about hair salons, Salon-Leau is everything but, part art gallery, part lounge, part home, most of all a place where you feel at ease. Salon-Leau is not about publicity and write-ups; we focus instead on the comfort and well-being of the client. Located in a renovated row house in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC, the salon is a unique, beautiful and extremely private place. A tranquil spa completes the space, allowing our clients to have all of their beauty needs met in one place.

Apparently Bertrand has reached a point in his career at which he only knows how to cut hair in styles that suit him, not his customer. After asking him to cut my hair according to what I specified-AND FOR WHICH I SHOWED HIM A PRINTOUT--he promptly cut more hair off my head than I've had removed in over five years--and enough to expose my hearing aids. The haircut I asked for, and for which I showed him the printout, was a medium-length, layered style suitable to a woman my age. (I'm a senior citizen approaching 77 years old.) I don't appreciate being told by any stylist that (1) they understand the haircut I want, (2) can, in fact, cut the hair in that style, and then (3) promptly do whatever they ***** well please, all for more than $100.00. I've been a Salon L'Eau customer for several years. I will not be returning. I'd be more than happy to further discuss with the Salon's owner the horror show I endured with Bertrand--but perhaps the Salon is only interested in compliments. Diane R Ivone
