Probably the worst hair experience of my life. I brought my own Aveda formula, explained that I had been using it for years and said specifically that I didn't want to change a thing. Clearly the stylist made some error -- half-way through (while I was still in the sink, she started suggesting I change the color. I said again I didn't want to change the color. When I saw my wet hair in the mirror, I knew it was the wrong shad entirely. She insisted we dry it a bit to see. Still wrong shade. I noted that she only left the toner on for 8 minutes, when my formula said 20 minutes. So she said she'd do some sort of cleansing and do the toner over. Then half-way through that, she insisted we add "just a little gold" to the toner. Again, I said I did NOT WANT TO CHANGE MY FORMULA. She did it anyway. My hair came out yellow. At this point I was done and left. My hair was so off-base, and all she could say was "I think it looks pretty." I did not. Neither did everyone I know who saw me the next day and asked what had happened to my hair. Thank heavens for the other Scott J. Aveda salon on the UES who took me in, and brought in an entire team to fix my hair. It felt like horrible straw that was about to break -- they applied a deep conditioner, fixed the toner, everything. And were so kind and thoughtful. I HIGHLY recommend the UES salon. Will never be returning to Shoho salon again.

First time at HSDA. Everyone was so attentive! The Ladies at the reception desk were courteous. Viona took my x-rays, she was really nice. The Hygienist gave me a painless cleaning. Erika has very light hands, bless you! Dr. Lee gave the final approval, I do not have cavities. Yay! Oh yes, I was given a swag tote bag, one of those heavy duty canvas ones, with the usual toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, AND an electric tooth brush! What! Wow! I have no excuse but to clean my teeth well for the next visit. Here’s to no cavities!
